PVC/Plastic Additives

CMHT serves as co-lead counsel prosecuting claims on behalf of purchasers of certain Plastics Additives, alleging that Defendants fixed prices in the Plastics Additives industry between January 1, 1990 to January 31, 2003. On December 20, 2006, the Honorable Legrome D. Davis certified six subclasses for treatment on a class-wide basis, corresponding to the six product segments of the Plastics Additives industry at issue in the case. These six product segments are: Organotin Heat Stabilizers; Mixed Metal Heat Stabilizers; Epoxidized Soybean Oil; Methacrylate Butadiene Styrene; Acrylic Impact Modifiers; and Acrylic Processing Aids. CMHT and co-lead counsel have reached settlements with several Defendants; the remaining Defendants have appealed Judge Davis's class certification decision to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
