Aspartame

CMHT serves as co-lead counsel in prosecuting claims of price fixing and global market allocation against the world’s largest manufacturers of the artificial sweetener aspartame.  Plaintiffs allege that the defendants’ conspiracy increased the prices of Aspartame worldwide from January 1, 1992 to the present in violation of U.S. antitrust laws.  On January 18, 2007, the Honorable Legrome D. Davis denied the defendants’ motion to dismiss the complaint and the litigation is ongoing.
