Partner Lisa Mezzetti is Appointed to the National Association of State Treasurers' Corporate Affiliate Board

WASHINGTON (April 4, 2008)

Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll is pleased to announce that partner Lisa Mezzetti has been appointed to the National Association of State Treasurers’ (NAST) Corporate Affiliate Board. The firm has been a corporate affiliate of NAST since 2003.

NAST's membership is composed of all state Treasurers, or state finance officers with comparable responsibilities, from throughout the U.S., the District of Columbia and the territories and commonwealths. Each year, over one-hundred private-sector companies and law firms join in a public-private partnership program with NAST, providing services to the Treasurers’ offices and the states. These include investment and pension fund management, debt and cash management functions, and legal advice. Corporate affiliates also work with the Treasurers and NAST to further the organization’s educational efforts.

Ms. Mezzetti, a member of the firm’s Securities Fraud/Investor Protection and Consumer Protection practice groups, joined its Washington, DC office in 1984. For more than twenty-five years, she has successfully represented an array of clients in a number of securities class and individual actions, and consumer class actions.

Ms. Mezzetti also serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of The International Alliance for Women and the Financial Women's Association of New York. Both are non-profit organizations that support and promote women professionals and entrepreneurs, providing networking, mentoring and educational programs.
